ELIZABETH BARKER

I'm Liz; I live in Los Angeles and Alex Chilton's name is tattooed on my left ankle. I'm working on a novel about kids who love the Rolling Stones in a grubby Massachusetts town in 1982, and I make my money writing nice things about pop stars. I saw Nirvana when I was 15 and my favorite things are oceans, extravagant cakes, Joseph Szabo pictures, Mary Timony songs, Blake Babies, the movie Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Mickey Rourke at any age.

Here's a sorta-excerpt from my book.

And you can get in touch here.
